COMMUNITY KITCHEN
In this extraordinary time, many people are in need. As city mandated directives have closed public spaces, tens of millions of Americans – the most since the Great Depression – are out of work and struggling to put food on the table for their families.
Traditional safety nets like school feeding programs, city services, and food banks are up and running, but are straining under increased demand.
Community Kitchen is a project born out of necessity from DRG Concepts with a generous donation from Hoque Global. In partnership with the charity 7740 Dallas, we launched the initiative to serve 1,400 free meals each week to restaurant industry members who are unemployed or negatively impacted by the COVID19 pandemic and recession.
We turned our Chop House Burger location in Downtown Dallas into a community kitchen at the end of march to help deliver meals to local hospitals in partnership with 7740 Dallas. The program has so far delivered 10,000 plus nourishing meals to the frontline healthcare workers in the Metroplex. We plan to turn our two other Chop House Burger locations into community kitchen in the next 60 days.
HELP BY DONATING
We urge you to donate what you can to help our unemployed hospitality and restaurant associates.
